I often prefer to start the process with a fast, but today was too busy. Also, to fast the way I like requires a bit of preparation (greens for juicing, a supply of tea, broth for evening, etc.). It will probably happen at some point soon. As anyone who does the paleo thing (or who is diabetic) will observe, my objective during the first several days is ketosis or something like it.
Workout: No workout.
Breakfast: Bulletproof Coffee with 2 Tb. Kerrygold
Lunch: Massive salad of romaine and butter lettuces with 3/4 of an avocado, a chopped hardboiled egg and balsamic vinegar. Probably three cups of greens.
Cocktail: 1.5 oz Vodka, 3 olives
Yes, alcohol inhibits gluconeogenesis. Yes I am totally breaking my own rules here, but I promised myself that I would be explicit in divulging everything that takes place. So... do as I say, not as I do. I will provide a comprehensive list of The Wisdom in a subsequent post.
Dinner: Another salad, with chopped roasted peppers and asparagus. It was leftover night - 3 oz of salmon, 2 oz of steak, 5 oz wine
